My experience in product design and development is multi-faceted and unique.

Since 2016, I have been consulting primarily in technical softgoods, and consumer hardgoods/packaging.

As a designer, I have had the privilege of working as an independent consultant with a variety of firms and companies. This has allowed me to learn a variety of processes, as well as how my skills are most beneficial to a given client’s methodology when they need someone that can plug in and go. Since I have been a part of many different approaches to design, I have been able to pick and choose parts of each to optimize my own process, while gaining experience in a wide breadth of fields and working with experts of their respective industries.

The process of finding failures in the world allows me to discover stories that need resolution, and the most successful work I create comes from the restrained application of what I learn during my design research.

Outside of design, I am driven by a passion for bicycles, adventure, and the occasional catastrophic injury that comes as a result of either of those.

My goal is to craft opportunities that allow myself and others to rethink reality, and question whether or not we are willing to accept it as it is, while at the same time creating incremental improvements along the way.

I'm Bailey Van Etten. I am an industrial designer from Denver, Colorado.

I specialize in 3D modeling, 3D Visualization+Animation, and softgoods design.

In addition to sketching and prototyping, my primary design toolkit includes: Solidworks, Keyshot, Photoshop, Illustrator, 3DS Max, Fusion 360, and V-Ray.
